Las Colinas is a 12,000-acre master-planned business and residential community in Irving, Texas, near the center of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area. The development is a 10-minute drive from both DFW International Airport and Dallas Love Field.

Founded in September 1973 by Ben H. Carpenter, Las Colinas is known worldwide for its quality and uniqueness. The concept has not been duplicated anywhere in the world.

The property was originally the Carpenter’s Hackberry Creek Ranch, also referred to as “El Ranchito de Las Colinas,” or “the little ranch of the hills.”

The development comprises 27.4 million square feet of office space and 7.6 million square feet of light industrial and distribution space. Retail space totals 2.9+ million square feet.

The Urban Center totals 960 acres and contains the world’s largest equestrian sculpture located at Williams Square. The award-winning sculpture is one of the most frequently visited tourist attractions in North Texas.

Las Colinas is home to seven 2019 Fortune 500 companies – ExxonMobil, McKesson (starting in spring 2019), Kimberly-Clark, Celanese, Pioneer Natural Resources, Vistra Energy and Fluor Corporation, – twelve Fortune 1000 companies, thirteen Inc. 5000 companies and eight of the 25 largest public companies in Dallas-Fort Worth. Other highly-regarded firms have significant offices in Las Colinas, including Verizon, Citigroup, AT&T, Microsoft, Oracle, Siemens, CVS Health, Humana, Neiman Marcus, Sprint, Abbott Laboratories, Gartner, The Kroger Company, McDonald’s, the Boy Scouts of America, the College Football Playoff, and the Big XII Conference.

Over 45,000 residents live in Las Colinas and there are 40+ residential neighborhoods.

Education campuses in Las Colinas and the surrounding area include: The University of Dallas, North Lake Community College, Cistercian Preparatory School, the Highlands School and North Hills Preparatory School. Las Colinas Elementary, La Villita Elementary (Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD) and the Singley Academy (Irving ISD) are also in Las Colinas.

More than 190 acres of parks and greenbelts, 17 miles of canal waterways and 10 miles of riverside hiking and biking trails contribute to the many recreational opportunities and excellent quality of life in Las Colinas.

Rich in amenities, Las Colinas has 31 hotels with 5,264 rooms, more than 200 restaurants, four 18-hole championship golf courses, and three private clubs.

Las Colinas is served by superior highway systems which include SH-114, SH-161, and I-635.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) light-rail expansion was completed in Las Colinas in 2012 and connects to the DFW International Airport.
